I bought an impact driver and needed a set of basic impact-ready bits to go with it. This one (DEWALT DWA2FTS30IRC) seemed to offer the best value, and the magnetic screw lock holder looked like it could be useful. There are many similar kits (24pc, 34pc, 35pc, etc.) – at the time I ordered, this offered the best value.
I’ve attached a video showing how the magnetic screw lock holder works, and going over the items included with this set.
The magnetic screw lock is very useful, and I’m happy with this set. Note that most of the bits are duplicates, and you aren’t getting 30 unique bits. Hopefully the “Flex Torq” will allow enough twist that I won’t burn through these bits any time soon. After 5 months of use, no broken bits – my only complaint is that some of the bit holders are a tad stiff (making it moderately difficult to insert and remove bits).
Bits included in the set:
- Philips: #1 x 1″, (2) #2 x 1″, #2 x 2″, #3 x 1″
- Robertson: #1 x 1″, (6) #2 x 1″, (3) #2 x 2″, #3 x 1
- Flat: #6 x 1″, (2) #8 x 1″, #10 x 1″
- Torx: (2) T20 x 1″, (3) T25 x 1″, T27 x 1″
- Nut Drivers: 1/4″, 5/16″
- Socket Adaptor: 3/8″
- Magnetic Screw Lock Holder
The Flex Torq bits are advertised to be able to twist 15degrees to minimize the chance of breakage.
When shopping around, be sure to find an impact ready set if you have an impact driver. Some screwdriving kits are not rated for impacts but look similar at a slightly lower cost.
